As part of White Night in Tel Aviv, I took part in a one-night animation project: looping GIFs projected onto Menashe Kadishman’s iconic sculpture ×´Hitromemut×´, located in the heart of Habima Square.

For one magical night -until 6 a.m. the static sculpture became a glowing canvas full of movement, color, and imagination.
Eight animators were selected to create short animated pieces based on the brief “Something optimistic×´.

I chose to look at Tel Aviv through a slightly different lens - I created a tiny world where curious frogs wander the city, swim in the Yarkon River, and blend playfully into the urban landscape. They’re quiet, a little strange, and totally free. I wanted to create a small moment of joy - a soft, whimsical escape inside the city I love.
Story

Perspective
Starting with three circles placed at a 45-degree angle,
I used the sculpture’s diagonal to create a dynamic sense of movement and depth going beyond
its flat form.
I highlighted the perspective lines, and from there, let them lead me into different
urban situations

Texture
I decided that some of the situations I collected would be the projection itself on the Habima stage.
I went to Habima on a clear day to photograph the texture, which I later used in my work.
