Animation Director, Illustrator & Designer
Daniel Sweed is an animation creator, illustrator, and designer based in Tel Aviv-Yafo.
She graduated with a degree in Visual Communication in 2020 and has since worked both as an independent creator and for four years at Playtika.
bio
Daniel received two grants from Gesher Multicultural Film Fund for the creation of two independent animated films. Her short film Between the Fingers was screened at Animix Festival, while her VR animated film The Elephant I Found Under My Skin was screened at Raindance Film Festival in London and at NewImages Festival in Paris. The film reached over 30,000 views and is currently featured in the Narrative category of the Meta Oculus viewing library.
Additional recognition includes winning first place in the “alefalefalef” poster competition reflecting the COVID-19 period, as well as first place in the Friedl Stern Award for humorous caricature during her fourth year of studies.
Most recently, Daniel’s work was projected onto “ההתרוממות” by Menashe Kadishman at Habima Square as part of the White Night celebrations.
Her artistic language is driven by humor, stylized characters, and expressive movement. Through vivid color palettes and imaginative worlds, her work invites viewers into playful, emotional,
and visually rich experiences.
